Position Overview:
We are searching for an experienced Head of Internal Audit to drive the effectiveness and efficiency of our internal audit processes. In this role, you will provide independent evaluations of internal controls, risk management practices, and governance processes, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives.
Principal Responsibilities:
Audit Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive audit strategy, plan activities, and identify emerging risks.
Audit Execution: Conduct audits across financial, operational, and compliance areas, identifying areas for improvement.
Risk Assessment: Continuously assess and monitor risks, develop risk-based audit plans, and support risk management efforts.
Audit Reporting: Prepare detailed audit reports, present findings to senior management and boards, and track recommendations.
Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing audit team, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Compliance and Ethics: Ensure audits adhere to professional standards, laws, and regulations, promoting ethics and compliance.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior management, department heads, and external auditors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; master’s degree or relevant professional certification preferred.
Minimum 7 years of internal auditing experience, with leadership background.
Strong knowledge of auditing standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and presentation abilities.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
