Position Overview:
Are you a meticulous financial professional? As a Cost Accountant, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the precision of financial data related to cost of goods sold and operational expenses. This role involves cost analysis, budgeting, inventory management, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making.
Principal Responsibilities:
Cost Analysis: Analyze and monitor product and service costs, identifying variances and trends.
Cost Allocation: Allocate overhead costs to determine true product and service costs.
Budgeting: Assist in developing annual budgets and forecasts, providing cost-related insights.
Inventory Management: Evaluate inventory levels and optimize inventory costs.
Cost Reduction: Identify cost-saving opportunities and collaborate on cost reduction initiatives.
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial reports related to cost accounting, supporting decision-making.
Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance cost accounting processes and systems.
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to gather relevant cost data and provide insights.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ICAN certification is a plus.
Proven experience as a Cost Accountant or in a similar role within a related industry.
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, practices, and standards.
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
Skills:

Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
